Powers: Originally Iceman could lower the temperature of his body and encase himself in an ice armor of varying shape and consistency. He has since gained the ability to turn his entire body into a flexible form of organic ice. He can also freeze the moisture in the air and can create objects such as slides, ladders, and projectiles. He can reform any part of his body in his ice form, and can augment his shape and size. He has demonstrated the ability to animate ice forms by creating figures and through rapid freezing and unfreezing of their structure, and thus creating movement.

When in ice form he is generally translucent, and his appearance ranges from human-like to jagged and geometric. He is also known to add additional ice mass to his shoulders and knuckles (often jagged and sharp) for a fight. In addition to altering his appearance and shape, Robert can also augment his size. A side effect of this alteration is superhuman strength to match his larger form. If damaged, he can reform damaged or missing body parts. While physically and mentally taxing, this ability can be used to reform his entire body if necessary, as he has been able to reform himself to ice from sentient water vapor. He is able to turn himself into sentient liquid, travel in this form, and return back to his organic ice form, but such a task is incredibly exhausting to his mind and body.

Iceman's abilities stem from his ability to psionically manipulate energy. It is also important to note that he has been described as an Omega-level mutant, with more than just the ability to create ice. As such, with further development he may reach power levels limited only by his imagination.

Iceman now has the ability to control chemical reactions involving heat exchange and can prevent people with fire based abilities from using their powers.

Character HoM History:

Bobby Drake discovered his mutant power to create ice while in his early teens, yet kept his condition hidden from everyone but his parents. When the Mutant-Human War began, Bobby's father turned him in to the authorities, figuring it would be safer for him to be in captivity than to be a renegade mutant. Fortunately, while in captivity, Bobby was freed by Apocolypse during the raid of the Alamo Mutant Camp. Feeling abandoned by his parents and believing himself to be an outcast, Bobby jumped at the chance to become a member of Apocolypse's Horsemen. Like all Horsemen, his mutant abilities were amplified by Apocolypse's technology. As one of Apocolypse's Horsemen, he filled the slot of Death, but was known as Osirus.



While in service of Apocolypse, his normally happy, silly, slightly immature personality slowly faded into a cold, harsh, and bitter one. Still being the youngest of the bunch, instead of repressing his powers, he advanced them to to become the best there is. In a world where mutants were superior and his peers were cruel, Bobby decided he had to be the most powerful and cruel mutant in existance. He had to be the best. The more he persecuted against humans in a rebellious action(originally against his parents) the more he became corrupt and his previously joking nature turned into sarcasm and sadism. His powers grew suprisingly fast, no doubt due to the technological modifications from Apocolypse. His powers made him full of pride with good reason, for he was approaching Omega-level.

When in Egypt, rebuilding ancient monuments with other Horsemen under Apocolypse's orders, Bobby began to believe in the curses there. Many things would happen unintentionally to the workers. Some would become sick for no reason, with unnatural symptoms, some would go a bit crazy, some would kill themselves. Of course, Bobby was taking it all too seriously, the workers had a horrible life and were probably getting sick from exhaustion, insane from the work, and suicide was committed from misery. All the same, however, an unreasonable suspicion was created in Bobby's mind, and with every tomb he entered, every ancient place he reconstructed, every mysterious death of the workers, his suspicions increased.



He found his parents bodies in the bottom of a pyramid's tomb. The many slaves he and the other Horsemen were abusing in Egypt to rebuild monuments were made up of normal, mostly-innocent humans. Unknown to Bobby, his parents were included in that group. He lost it. He was never told of his parents and assumed they were in camps somewhere, safe. Even though he had intense hatred towards them, he was content in the fact that they were alive and well, so that one day, when he became someone great, he could visit them and rub it in their faces. He wanted to be the one to kill them, he did. They had to see him, had to see what he had become. They had to beg for forgiveness. But they couldn't. It was too late.

He completely snapped. In Egypt, under the blistering sun, ice poured through the cracks of the pyramid, killing all who were working on it and destroying it. He continued to slaughter the efforts there, eventually murdering two other of the Horsemen in a crazy rage of suspicion for killing his parents. Then he moved to Apocolypse. In a brief fight against him, Robert Drake reached his potential for Omega-level, and destroyed Apocolypse by himself.

Impossible to execute, he was locked up in a cell made just for him, and kept under constant guard and video survalance. While in jail, the beginning traces of Bobby's insanity only multiplied. Now, he talks in third person, is extremely unstable, and has episodes of dillusion. Despite his insane-tendencies and his physical and psychological deterioration in prison, he's still widely known as possibly the most powerful and lethal mutant alive.
